A Healthy Mouth Review is our name for something you might know as a check-up — but we think it deserves a better one. Rather than a quick glance, it's a careful, head-to-toe review of your teeth, gums, bite and the soft tissues of your mouth.
It's the single most valuable appointment for keeping your mouth healthy, because the earlier we spot something, the simpler and gentler it is to put right. Most dental problems are painless in their early stages — a regular review is how we stay one step ahead.

Yes — it's our name for a dental examination. We call it a Healthy Mouth Review because it's far more than a quick check; it's a thorough assessment of your whole oral health, including your gums, bite and an oral cancer screening.

Not at all. A review is a gentle, non-invasive examination. If you feel anxious about dental visits, please tell us — looking after nervous patients is something we genuinely care about, and we'll always work at your pace.

Please allow around 30 minutes. Your first visit as a new patient may take a little longer, as we take extra time to get to know you and build a complete picture of your oral health.

Try not to worry — the whole point of a review is to catch things early, when they're easiest to treat. We'll explain exactly what we've found, talk you through your options in plain language, and make sure you understand any costs before anything is agreed. There's never any pressure.

Only when they're needed. Low-dose digital X-rays help us see between and beneath your teeth, and your dentist will recommend them based on your individual needs rather than as a routine at every appointment.
